Selling to buyers in Bulgaria means working with Bulgarian couriers. Here the buyer decides how the parcel reaches them: at a courier office, at a parcel locker or at their door. Cash on delivery is the norm, both in Bulgaria and in Romania. This guide covers the four couriers we ship with in Bulgaria, Econt, Speedy, BOX NOW (also written BoxNow) and Pigeon Express, and how a fulfillment center in Bulgaria works with all of them at once.
Office, locker or address: how parcels reach buyers
If you are used to home delivery as the default, note that in Bulgaria the address is only one of three options. The buyer picks one of them when placing the order:
- Courier office. The parcel waits at an office of the chosen courier, and the buyer collects it there.
- Parcel locker. The parcel goes into an automated locker, and the buyer collects it when it suits them.
- Address delivery. The courier brings the parcel to the buyer's home or workplace.
With cash on delivery, the buyer pays the courier when they receive the parcel. In Bulgaria the courier then pays the money directly into your bank account. It does not pass through us.
Couriers in Bulgaria: network sizes compared
The figures below show each network as of 13 October 2026. Lockers make up more than half of the Speedy and Pigeon Express networks, and all of BOX NOW.

Speedy
Speedy has the largest network of the four: 1,326 points, made up of 461 offices and 865 lockers, in 252 towns and villages. Its label is A6. One detail matters for cash on delivery: when the shipment carries the item lines of the order, Speedy itself issues the receipt for the cash-on-delivery payment.
Econt
Econt has 635 offices and lockers in total, in 212 towns and villages. Its lockers are called Econtomats. Its label is 10 x 9 cm.
Pigeon Express
Pigeon Express has 442 points, 194 offices and 248 lockers, in 168 towns and villages. Its label is 100 x 90 mm and lists the contents of the parcel item by item.
BOX NOW
BOX NOW is a locker-only network, with 966 lockers in 178 towns and villages. It suits buyers who prefer a locker to a courier office or a delivery to their door.
Why the buyer should choose the courier
Some brands offer a single courier for the whole store. In Bulgaria it is better to let the buyer decide, for three reasons:
- Convenience. Buyers want an office or locker close to home or work. If your form offers only one courier, the nearest point may belong to another.
- Coverage. Each network reaches a different number of places: Speedy 252 towns and villages, Econt 212, BOX NOW 178 and Pigeon Express 168. With several couriers on offer, more buyers have a point nearby.
- Cash on delivery. The buyer pays only when they collect the parcel. A parcel that is easy to collect is more likely to be collected and paid for.
That is why the buyer picks both the courier and the delivery method when placing the order. Before the parcel leaves, our call center confirms the order by phone, and in Bulgaria this is included in the price. Under 1% of our parcels are sent out wrong and under 3% are returned. How a fulfillment center ships with several couriers at once
As a 3PL in Bulgaria, we do not tie you to one courier. Our software works with Econt, Speedy, Pigeon Express and BOX NOW at the same time. Each order goes through the same steps:
- The order arrives from your store. We connect to Shopify, WooCommerce, CloudCart, ConvertBuilder and SIMVOLY. For any other site, there is our order form, added with one line of code.
- The buyer's choice comes with the order: the courier, and an office, a locker or an address.
- Our call center confirms the order by phone.
- We pick and pack the order and create the waybill with one click, in the chosen courier's format.
- We hand the parcel to that courier, often on the same day, and track both the shipment and the cash-on-delivery payout.

Selling in Romania from the same warehouse
The same approach works for e-commerce fulfillment in Romania. Your stock stays in our warehouse in Bulgaria. Romanian buyers order through a form in Romanian with prices in lei, and the parcels go out with Romanian couriers: Cargus, Sameday, FAN Courier and GLS. Romania is in the EU, so there is no customs clearance.
